What Will You Be Doing?

As part of the Digital Trust Graduate Programme, you will:

  • Work with a variety of clients, industries, and technologies.
  • Engage with financial controllers, heads of IT, and finance directors to understand and test IT systems and controls.
  • Ensure IT systems are appropriately controlled by management and verify data accuracy.
  • Conduct investigative work, regularly interacting with clients in person or through collaborative technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying key risks and controls, optimizing controls around security and business processes within IT environments.
  • Applying internal control principles and business/technical knowledge, including IT general controls and application controls.
  • Leading the adaptation of work programmes, performing assessments, and using PwC’s proprietary tools to evaluate controls and security.
  • Managing projects, developing plans, budgets, and deliverable schedules.
  • Creating a positive work environment, monitoring team workloads, and meeting client expectations.
  • Reviewing financial and operational business process controls and IT general controls.
  • Conducting infrastructure and database security reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Performing due diligence on systems and controls and conducting pre- and post-implementation system reviews.
  • Engaging in computer security reviews, privacy protection, and outsourced/co-sourced internal audit engagements.
  • Participating in governance, risk, and compliance reviews, performance audits, and audits of predetermined objectives.
  • Working on ERP projects, assessing risk, identifying and testing controls, and assisting clients in developing and implementing solutions such as GRC.


To qualify for this Digital Trust Graduate Programme, you must have:

  • A university degree, preferably with Honours in one of the following:
    • Computer Science
    • BCom (IT) or Accounting
    • IT (BSc or BCom)
    • Management Accounting
    • Internal Auditing
    • Business Science
    • Risk Management
    • Engineering
    • A special interest in ERP systems and SAP will be advantageous.
