Administration Clerk Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure quality control of the item records prepared in the section and to provide the Regional and Central Organization with an accurate and neat product. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of library materials and supporting the overall function of the library services.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Administration Clerk position, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Recommendations
While not mandatory, the following experience is highly recommended:
- Relevant experience in the production process or library service.
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance to ensure processing requirements are met.
- Statistical Information: Providing and verifying statistical information.
- SLIMS Database Verification: Verifying information on the daily processing lists by searching the SLIMS database before books are dispatched.
- Administration Duties: Performing various administrative tasks.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues on dispatch lists.
Competencies
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge and understanding of Library Information Management System.
- Proven computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving, report writing, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
- Salary: R 216 417 per annum (Salary level 5).
