The Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of the Witwatersrand, is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Filing Clerk to join its team at the Jose Pearson TB Hospital. This position is part of the Research Project Division and is a Fixed Term role. The main purpose of this job is to provide general administrative and clerical support to various research projects.

Key Performance Areas
The primary responsibilities of the Filing Clerk will include:
- File Retrieval and Submission: Retrieve relevant files from different locations at the site and submit them to the filing system on a daily basis.
- Document Scanning: Scan all relevant documents obtained and save them onto the ILTBRU Drive.
- File Return and Organization: Return files to the relevant storage facility once scanning is completed and ensure they are filed according to the filing system for each study.
- Assist with Printing: Support printing of study-related documents as and when required.
- Data Tracking and Logging: Log and track all scanned/collected files in the relevant data tracking log.
- File Tracking: Ensure files are not misplaced between the administration and data teams.
- Maintain Filing System: Organize and upkeep the filing room to ensure files can be easily retrieved at any point.
- Task Ownership and Accountability: Take responsibility for assigned tasks, maintain effective self-management, and follow through to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
- Maintain a Positive Work Attitude: Be open to feedback and maintain a professional and positive demeanor in the workplace.

Requirements
- Education: Grade 12
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in office administration.
- Qualification: A relevant qualification in Office / Business Administration.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Professionalism: Able to maintain confidentiality, tact, and professionalism at all times.
- Independence: Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
