Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Stores & Warehousing qualification would be advantageous.
- Strong sense of order, cleanliness, and precise record-keeping abilities.
- Training in Storage & Distribution preferred.
- Positive approach towards productivity and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with Food Safety Systems is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the forklift is well-maintained.
- Monitor and regulate temperature in cold storage at Ladismith Cheese, reporting any temperature irregularities.
- Check aging status of cheeses.
- Prioritize distribution of older cheeses.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of items in cold storage.
- Load trucks and fulfill orders.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Operate forklift to load supplies onto trucks, occasionally after regular hours.
- Conduct inventory checks, sometimes after regular hours.
- Inspect cheese quality.
- Maintain detailed inventory records (inbound and outbound) using computer systems.
- Provide weekly stock reports.
- Account for all returns.
Skills Required

- Numeracy skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High level of concentration and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
