The Advertising Assistant will support the Advertising Coordinator, Buyers, and Marketing Team in the seamless execution of both external supplier collaborations and internal business promotions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Advertising Coordinator to manage and coordinate all promotional campaigns.
- Liaise with advertising agencies and media outlets, briefing them on promotional requirements.
- Conduct copy-checking and approve all advertising materials.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure campaign alignment and success.
- Open job numbers within RMS and SAP systems to track and manage campaigns.
- Facilitate the announcement, sourcing, and activation of all promotions in SAP.
- Extract relevant promotional reports for analysis and tracking.
- Brief promotional lines within RMS to the advertising agency.
Job Objectives
The Advertising Assistant will support the broader marketing team by ensuring smooth workflows in promotional and advertising initiatives. This includes:
- Ensuring deadlines are met for promotional campaigns.
- Facilitating seamless communication between stakeholders.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all promotional activities.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Education: A matric qualification is essential.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing or advertising, ideally in FMCG or retail marketing.
- Skills:
- Proven experience with ATL (Above the Line) or BTL (Below the Line) marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of print and electronic media.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and knowledge of SAP systems.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a flair for language.
- Basic understanding of promotions workflow.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
