Job Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment at the Hollywoodbets Durban Stonebridge branch. Your daily tasks will include:
- Ensuring all areas of the branch are clean and tidy before opening, during operations, and after closing.
- Cleaning floors (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming), walls, furniture, and equipment.
- Emptying, washing, and sanitizing bins and replacing refuse bags.
- Cleaning and maintaining toilets.
- Ensuring service areas, including gaming and public spaces, remain neat and tidy during peak and quiet periods.
- Using cleaning chemicals and detergents responsibly and requesting new supplies as needed.
- Reporting breakages and maintenance needs to the Branch Manager.
- Cleaning air-conditioning filters weekly.
- Monitoring and maintaining the condition of gaming area furniture (e.g., seat covers and table legs).
Requirements
While this is an entry-level position, having these qualifications or experiences will be advantageous:
- Matric Certificate
- Previous Housekeeping Experience
