We offer an internship— a hands-on work experience opportunity—in the specified field for a duration of at least twenty-four (24) months. This program is designed for individuals who have not previously participated in any internship programs. Our goal is to improve the job prospects of unemployed graduates by equipping them with valuable experience through this internship. Candidates should be between the ages of 18 and 35.

    • Stipend: R7,043.31 per month

Key Qualifications:

      • National Diploma (NQF 6) / Degree (NQF 7) in Microbiology or Biomedical Science.
      • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
      • Planning and organizing skills.

Skills:

        • Attention to detail.
        • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
        • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Competencies:

    • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
    • Understanding of biological material handling.
    • Familiarity with health industry standards.

Role Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Import and export of biological materials.
    • Inspection of laboratories, including tissue banks.
    • Acquiring information on international standards for pathological laboratories and tissue banks.
    • Verification of registration of Principal Investigators / Medical Specialists with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
