Key Responsibilities
Reception and Customer Service:
- Professionally attend to all patient and customer queries, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
- Handle all calls received at the front desk promptly and courteously.
- Ensure the reception area is well maintained and welcoming for patients and visitors.
Admissions Processing:
- Provide patients with comprehensive information regarding admissions and bookings in accordance with Clinix standards.
- Assist patients in accurately completing necessary forms and documents.
- Obtain and verify all required patient information and documentation upon admission.
- Accurately capture patient information in the system, including details of the admitting and treating doctor.
- Complete pre-admissions and pre-authorizations, ensuring all information is accurately recorded in the system, including ICD codes and diagnoses where relevant.
Administrative Duties:
- Process healthcare forms and related documentation efficiently.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained in all administrative tasks.
- Escalate any issues to the Reception Supervisor as needed.
- Complete discharge processes as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirements: Administrative Qualification / NQF Level 5.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in general office administration.
- Advantageous: Health-related qualification/certificate.
- Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy, knowledge of ICD codes, and medical/clinical terminology.
- System Knowledge: : Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) software is a significant advantage. SAP is widely used in healthcare for managing various administrative and financial tasks. Candidates with SAP experience will have a smoother transition into the role, as they can efficiently navigate and utilize the system for patient admissions, billing, and record-keeping.
