Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Food Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Boxer’s commitment to food safety. Below are some of the key responsibilities of this role:
1. Assist with the Implementation of Food Safety Policies
You will work closely with the Food Safety Officer to implement and maintain food safety policies. This includes ensuring that all food handling and storage practices align with industry standards and legal regulations.
2. Manage Corrective Actions and Compliance
A large part of your role will involve managing corrective actions and ensuring compliance during inspections. You will collaborate with various teams to address any issues and ensure that they are resolved in line with food safety standards.
3. Support Store Rollouts and Retraining Initiatives
As new stores open, you will be involved in supporting the rollout of food safety policies and procedures. This includes providing necessary training to new teams and retraining staff to reinforce best practices in food safety.
4. Conduct Risk Evaluations from Audits

Minimum Requirements
To apply for the Junior Food Safety Officer position, you must meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: A National Diploma or 3-Year Degree in Food Science or Food Safety is required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food safety.
- Skills: You must be computer literate and proficient in Excel.
- Licenses: A valid driver’s license is required, as the role involves travel.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety legislation such as FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, and PRP is essential.
- Interpersonal Skills: You should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
