About the Role:
The role of the Data Capturer at WRHI is crucial to the successful management and upkeep of patient data within the organization. Data Capturers will be responsible for ensuring that patient information is captured accurately, updated as needed, and maintained in a confidential and secure manner. This is a temporary position with the main purpose of ensuring the effective data management within the WRHI division.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be entrusted with a variety of key tasks designed to support the overall data management system. The primary responsibilities include:
- Data Entry: Accurately capture patient files from clinicians into the Tier.Net, Synch, and DHIS systems.
- Data Accuracy & Validation: Identify missing or incorrect data, ensuring timely follow-ups and reporting any errors.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times.
- Communication: Work closely with clinicians, managers, and other team members to ensure the smooth and accurate transfer of patient information.
- Data Cleaning & Backup: Perform routine data cleaning tasks and ensure regular backup of data files to prevent loss of critical information.
- Filing & Reporting: Ensure that all patient documents are filed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and distribute data reports to relevant team members.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties such as copying, faxing, filing, and archiving documents as needed.
- Self-Management: Take ownership of tasks, demonstrate accountability, and adhere to deadlines while ensuring productivity and accuracy standards are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet certain educational and experience criteria:
- Minimum Education: Grade 12 with basic computer and typing skills.
- Required Experience: At least one year of experience in data capturing or administration, with Tier.Net being a compulsory requirement.
- Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database packages.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high data accuracy.
- Experience with Tier.Net, DHIS, and Synch systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
