    Requirements:

    Duties:

    • Ensure the timely, accurate, and reliable reporting of both separate and consolidated financial statements to the board, shareholders, and internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure full compliance of internal and external reporting requirements with legislative, statutory, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Manage and coordinate International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) implementation projects for the group, including addressing organizational queries on IFRS application.
    • Coordinate and prepare for all assurance audits, including responding to audit queries and information requests.
    • Provide oversight and guidance on departmental activities to ensure trial balance accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
    • Ensure the Accounting Policy Manual (APM) accurately defines accounting principles per IFRS, reviewing and updating it as needed for regulatory compliance.
    • Drive the application of policies and procedures through business partnering, actively reviewing and implementing changes.
    • Stay updated on exposure drafts, new accounting standards, regulations, and directives, investigating their impact.
    • Review and analyze reconciliations to ensure compliance with procedures, internal controls, and required disclosures.
    • Implement initiatives promoting accurate accounting standards application through engagement with relevant departments.
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against budget and past trends.
