Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take on a variety of warehouse duties, including but not limited to:
- Handling offloading and loading tasks for palletised cement and bulk materials.
- Stacking stock and pallets safely within the yard.
- Ensuring proper weight distribution for transporter vehicles in compliance with Traffic Road Regulations.
- Reporting any breakages or missing items promptly.
- Verifying that the correct product type, packaging, and quantity are loaded.
- Assisting with re-bagging and repacking cement according to company procedures.
- Operating a forklift to efficiently move palletised products.
- Maintaining high standards of Safety, Health, and Environmental practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Grade 12 certificate, Amended Senior Certificate, NCV Level 4, or a Technical Matric (N3 with four technical subjects and two official languages).
- Licenses and Certifications: A valid forklift driver’s license.
- Experience: At least one year of industry experience, preferably in operating bulk handling equipment and forklifts.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in forklift operation and bulk handling equipment.
- Thorough understanding of depot safety practices and pallet stacking procedures.
- Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
