Key Responsibilities
As a Learning and Development Intern, you will:
- Task Coordination & Administration:
- Manage and coordinate tasks to reflect the high standards of Siemens’ Learning Department.
- Commercial & Financial Duties:
- Handle purchase orders, requisitions, cost transfers, and invoice processing.
- Learning Application Verification:
- Review applications, verify documentation, and resolve discrepancies with employees.
- Employee & Bursar Support:
- Address daily administrative queries and ensure smooth communication.
- Catalogue & Course Management:
- Maintain and update the learning catalogue, liaising with training providers for approvals.
- External Bursar Support:
- Assist external bursars with applications and process ad-hoc payments like accommodation and allowances.
- SETA Liaison:
- Support Skills Development Facilitators in SETA-related activities and compliance.
- Training Documentation & Filing:
- Organize and file training documentation systematically.
- Database Management:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of data within the Learning Department’s database.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you’ll need:
- A B.Com Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, Training, or Development.
- A National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Skills Development, or Learning & Development (advantageous).
- An NQF Level 5 or higher in Training and Development (advantageous).
- 0-1 years of relevant experience.
Skills & Competencies
Siemens is looking for someone with:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Fluency in English (business level).
- Prior experience with Learnerships, NQF products, and SETA interactions (advantageous).
- Problem-solving, time management, and excellent organizational skills.
