The JD Home Stores Learnership is a 12-month learnership program offered by JD Group in partnership with the Wholesale & Retail SETA. This learnership invites people who are interested in applying for a Wholesale & Retail SETA Funded Learnership.

These individuals will play an exciting role in growing their career in the JD Group (Bradlows, Russells, Rochester and Sleepmasters).

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Location: Nationwide, across all 9 provinces
  • Focus Areas: Customer service, marketing, merchandise maintenance, basic English and math fundamentals, transaction processing, and stock control.


  • You must have a Senior Certificate (Matric or equivalent qualification)
  • Be a South African citizen with no criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist customer on the shop floor (Customer service)
  • Marketing and Merchandise and maintain displays
  • English language fundamentals
  • Math fundamentals
  • Recording transactions and processing payment on the POS System
  • Understanding the wholesale and retail environment
  • Opening new accounts
  • Maintaining and controlling stock losses
