Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate with Accounting as a Passed Subject:

- Basic Knowledge of Financial Management Practices:
- Understanding fundamental concepts of financial management, such as budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control, is essential for success in this role.
- Ability to Capture Data, Operate Computers, and Collate Financial Statistics:
- Proficiency in data entry and manipulation is crucial for accurately recording financial transactions and generating reports.
- Competence in operating computer systems and software is necessary for performing daily tasks efficiently.
- Computer Literacy, Including Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations, is required for various administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with Public Service Financial Legislations, Procedures, and Treasury Regulations:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing public sector finances, such as the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Division of Revenue Act (DORA), Public Service Regulations (PSR), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), and Financial Manual, is beneficial for ensuring compliance and adherence to guidelines.
- Knowledge of SAP or Any Other Finance-Related Operating System:
- Experience or familiarity with SAP or similar finance-related operating systems is advantageous for navigating financial databases and conducting transactions efficiently.
- Knowledge Management Skills:
- Ability to organize, store, and retrieve information effectively is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating decision-making processes.

Duties
- Check and Capture Transactions on SAP:
- Review and verify financial transactions entered into the SAP system.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data input.
- Adhere to established procedures and guidelines while entering transactions.
- Manage Sundry Payments, Receipts, and Journals on SAP:
- Process and record various types of payments and receipts using SAP.
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and Clear Suspense Accounts:
- Regularly review suspense accounts to identify discrepancies or outstanding items.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Take necessary actions to clear suspense accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with Reserve and Commercial Banks Reconciliations:
- Support the finance team in reconciling accounts with reserve and commercial banks.
- Compare bank statements with financial records to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate reconciliation.
- Collect and File Bank Statements:
- Retrieve bank statements from designated sources.
- Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for bank statements.
- Ensure that all bank statements are filed accurately and securely for future reference.
- Aid in Responding to Audit Information Requests:
- Assist in gathering and compiling financial data for audit purposes.
- Provide necessary documentation and information to auditors as requested.
- Collaborate with the audit team to address inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure Completion of All Filing Tasks:
- Maintain orderly and up-to-date filing systems for financial records.
- File documents promptly and accurately according to established procedures.
- Regularly review filing systems to ensure completeness and organization.
- Oversee Cashier’s Office and Rectify Misallocations:
- Supervise the operations of the cashier’s office, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Address any misallocations or discrepancies identified in cashier transactions.
- Implement corrective measures to rectify errors and prevent future occurrences.
