    Requirements

    To be considered for the Anglo American Mining Cadet Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics (or Mathematics Literacy) and English
    • Achieved a minimum pass mark of 40 percent in both subjects
    • Must be medically fit and able to work in opencast mining conditions
    • Willing to work on surface and possibly in shifts
    • Must be a South African citizen
    • Must pass psychometric and K53 Simulator assessments
    • A valid South African driver’s license is an advantage but not mandatory
    • Must be from the host communities (Proof of residence required)
