    Purpose of the Job

    The Training and Education Officer will be responsible for designing and aligning training programmes to help employees and suppliers better understand supply chain management principles, applications, and procedures. This role is critical for ensuring that the training initiatives support the overall objectives of the Supply Chain Operations.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    1. Support for Supply Chain Training Programmes:
      • Provide relevant information and outputs that assist in the development of supply chain management training programmes.
      • Ensure these programmes align with organisational goals and meet the needs of staff and suppliers.
    2. Administrative and Reporting Tasks:
      • Handle various tasks related to the administrative and reporting needs within the department.
      • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on training activities and outcomes.
    3. Assessment of Skills and Capabilities:
      • Coordinate processes and procedures to assess the current skill levels and capabilities of employees and suppliers.
      • Ensure these assessments reflect their knowledge of supply chain management principles.
    4. Development and Evaluation of Training Programmes:
      • Manage the design, presentation, facilitation, and evaluation of internal and external training programmes.
      • Ensure the effectiveness of these programmes by gathering feedback and implementing improvements.

    Essential Requirements

    To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Educational Qualification:
      • Grade 12 (NQF level 4) or equivalent.
      • A certificate in one of the following fields: Human Resources Development, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management.
    • Experience:
      • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
      • Computer literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools).

    Preferred Requirements

    • Tertiary Qualification:
      • NQF Level 6 in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management.
    • Experience:
      • 4 years of relevant experience in training, education, or supply chain management.
