Minimum Qualification
- Grade 10 Certificate
Experience
- 2 – 3 years of experience in a cleaning environment, preferably in:

- Educational institutions with multiple facilities
Recommended Skills and Knowledge

Key Responsibilities
The General Assistant will be responsible for cleaning and maintenance at the George Campus and MC Stander Hostel. Below is a detailed breakdown of their duties:
1. Cleaning of Hostel Buildings (Halls, Corridors, Toilets)
- Sweeping and cleaning of classrooms, halls, corridors, desks, chairs, and floors.
- Deep cleaning of hostel bathrooms, kitchens, and admin offices.
- Maintaining the hygiene and safety of OLC/Computer rooms before and after student use.
- Dusting computers and desks used by staff and students.
- Arranging classroom chairs and tables for examinations or events.
- Ensuring a clean, tidy, and healthy environment for students and staff.
2. Cleaning of Kitchens & Staff Rooms
- Maintaining clean and hygienic staff rooms before and after lectures.
- Keeping kitchens clean before and after each break.
- Ensuring hostel kitchens, corridors, windows, walls, and bathrooms are always tidy.
- Maintaining garden areas within the hostel.
- Assisting with minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
3. Responsible for Cleaning Materials
- Correct usage and storage of cleaning materials.
- Issuing cleaning utensils when needed.
- Ensuring cleaning supplies are used effectively and efficiently.
