This includes assisting patients with completing necessary forms accurately and promptly, managing their records in compliance with internal policies, and safeguarding their privacy and confidentiality in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Professional Customer Interaction: Provide efficient, friendly, and professional telephone services while assisting patients throughout their visit.
    • Patient Administration: Guide patients in completing necessary forms and document information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Reception Journey Management: Oversee the reception-patient process, including booking, arrival, and payment using the designated system.
    • Support Services: Direct customers to appropriate professionals or locations while maintaining patient confidentiality as per the POPIA guidelines.
    • Reception Area Maintenance: Ensure the reception area remains tidy and professional.
    • Emergency Protocol: Refer emergency cases to the nurse’s station as per established protocols.
    • Account Assistance: Address basic account queries, escalate issues when necessary, and ensure compliance with payment collection policies.
    • Daily Banking Processes: Execute accurate cash-ups and banking procedures.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

    • A minimum qualification of Grade 12.
    • Previous experience in a customer-focused service environment, such as reception, is advantageous.
    • Computer proficiency is a must.
    • Experience with the GoodX system will be considered an advantage.
