Job Overview: Nail Technician at Dis-Chem

As a Travelling Nail Technician, you will visit various salons in Johannesburg East to promote Dis-Chem’s nail treatments and provide high-quality manicures and pedicures.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following:
- Matric (Grade 12/Senior Certificate)
- Nail Technician Certificate (Acrylic & Gel application)
- 2+ years’ experience in a professional beauty or nail salon
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends & public holidays
Advantageous
- Bilingual (Fluent in more than one language)
- Previous experience using Dis-Chem beauty products
Key Responsibilities
As a Nail Technician, your duties include:
- Providing professional nail treatments (manicures, pedicures, nail painting)
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Meeting monthly treatment and sales targets
- Promoting Dis-Chem nail care services through monthly promotions
- Reporting customer compliments and complaints
- Stock control and inventory management (reporting on damaged/expired products)
- Staying updated with new beauty techniques through training sessions
Skills & Competencies
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Strong knowledge of nail application techniques (Gel & Acrylic)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Deadline and target-driven mindset
Special Requirements
