Helpdesk Operator Role Overview
As a Helpdesk Operator, your role will be crucial in supporting patients and healthcare professionals. You’ll need to ensure that every interaction reflects PathCare’s values and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients with professionalism.
- Managing calls in a high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Problem-solving and providing solutions effectively and efficiently.
- Maintaining confidentiality and a high level of ethics in all interactions.
Minimum Requirements
We are looking for dynamic, adaptable individuals who bring a positive attitude to the workplace. Ideal candidates must meet the following requirements and competencies:
- Education
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and basic computer literacy
- Experience
- 12–24 months of experience in a medical customer service environment or a medical-related call center
- Pathology knowledge/experience will be an advantage
- Competencies
- Client-focused with exceptional attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, including listening skills
- Ability to adapt and work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
- Innovative thinker with a calm temperament and a positive attitude
