    The GreenCape Graduate Trainee Opportunity in Sustainable Agriculture Programme

    The Sustainable Agriculture Programme at GreenCape aims to promote job creation and attract investments in green technologies for the agricultural sector. This includes:

    About the Graduate Trainee Role

    Key Responsibilities

    As a Graduate Trainee, you will:

    1. Conduct Research and Analysis:
      • Collect and analyze data on sustainable agriculture trends and green technologies.
      • Assist in preparing detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    2. Engage with Stakeholders:
      • Build relationships with industry players, including farmers, researchers, and policymakers.
      • Facilitate workshops and events to promote sustainable practices.
    3. Support Project Delivery:
      • Assist with program administration and funding documentation.
      • Coordinate events and manage databases.
    4. Prepare Publications:
      • Draft and review reports and publications for GreenCape’s audiences.

    Candidate Requirements

    Qualifications

    • A postgraduate degree in fields such as:
      • Agricultural/Resource Economics
      • Environmental Studies
      • Finance
      • Engineering (Chemical or other relevant disciplines)
    • Preference for candidates with a Master’s degree.
    • Candidates nearing completion of their postgraduate studies may also apply.

    Experience and Skills

    While no prior professional experience is necessary, the following skills are advantageous:

    • Research and analytical abilities.
    • Report writing and publication preparation.
    • Event coordination and stakeholder engagement.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving.
    • Organizational and multitasking skills.

    Location and Duration

    • Location: Cape Town CBD
