    Purpose of the Internship Programme

    The GPL Internship Programme aims to:

    There are 5 Gauteng Provincial Legislature internships available across various business areas. Here’s a breakdown of the positions and the required qualifications

    1. Communication Internship (2 positions)

      • Preferred Qualifications: Matric and National Diploma or B-Degree in Media Studies, Communication Science, Graphic Design, or Public Relations. A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
    2. Transversal Mainstreaming Internship

    3. Gauteng Speakers Forum Internship

    4. Sport and Recreation Internship

    Compulsory Requirements

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be South African citizens.
    • Age between 18-35 years.
    • Preference will be given to people living with disability, Coloured, White, and Indian applicants to ensure diversity.
    • No previous criminal convictions or pending cases.
    • Must not have been previously employed in the field of the advertised post or participated in an internship programme.
    • Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
