Urbantonic, a fast-growing national event management and logistics company, is currently seeking a talented and driven Event Stylist to join its Johannesburg team in Wynberg, Sandton. This is a permanent mid-level position, offering a competitive salary ranging from R20,000 to R35,000 per month (cost-to-company).

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Event Stylist will be responsible for overall event planning and execution. This includes the conceptualisation of designs, sourcing of materials, liaising with clients, and overseeing the final setup. Key duties include:
- Planning and Executing Events – Managing the entire event styling process, from the initial concept to the final implementation.
- Creating Mood Boards – Designing visually appealing mood boards that capture the essence of each event.
- Sourcing and Shopping for Events – Selecting the right décor, furniture, lighting, and floral arrangements to create the desired aesthetic.
- General Office Administration – Handling essential administrative tasks related to event planning.
- Client and Supplier Liaison – Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure smooth execution.
- Quoting and Invoicing – Preparing accurate quotes and invoices for clients.
This role requires a candidate who is highly creative yet also detail-oriented and organised. The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in the Event Stylist role, the candidate must possess a post-matric qualification and have strong practical experience in event styling or a related field. Other key requirements include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Especially in Excel and Word.
- Strong Organisational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flair for Style and Design – Familiarity with floral arrangements, décor styling, and aesthetic presentation.
- Excellent Communication Skills – Both verbal and written, for liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure – Events often have tight deadlines, requiring efficiency and resilience.
- Time Management Skills – Managing multiple events while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- A Valid Driver’s License – A Code 8 license is essential for transportation to various event locations.
