    Job Overview: Digital Coordinator (Contract)

    PEP, a leading South African retailer, is seeking a skilled Digital Coordinator to work closely with their promotional team to ensure all digital elements of their campaigns are executed accurately and within budget. The Digital Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating content production, managing campaigns, and ensuring timely execution of digital content across various platforms. The position is based in the Western Cape, and it is a contract role with a duration of fewer than six months.

    Key Responsibilities

    Coordinating Campaigns

    As a Digital Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the execution of digital content creation and production for the company’s campaigns. Key tasks include:

    • Coordinating Digital Content: This involves managing the creation and production of all digital content, from planning through to final delivery. You will ensure all content aligns with the brand’s identity and campaign goals.
    • Content Scheduling: You will be responsible for managing the content calendar, scheduling posts across digital platforms, and ensuring that all content is published on time.
    • Trend Research & Implementation: As part of the role, you will stay on top of the latest social media and video trends, applying them where appropriate to ensure the company’s digital content is always current and engaging.
    • Campaign & Media Coordination: Another important aspect of this role is coordinating media requirements for digital campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.

    Collating Creative

    You will also be tasked with coordinating the production of digital content. This involves:

    • Content Coordination: Working with internal and external teams to source products and product information, as well as ensuring timely uploads to the website and other digital channels.
    • Competitions Management: Coordinating and managing competitions across all digital platforms, driving engagement and brand visibility.
    • Collaboration with Creative Teams: Partnering with both internal creative teams and external agencies to produce high-quality digital content that resonates with the target audience.

    Relationship Management

    Strong relationship-building skills will be crucial in this role. You will:

    • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Coordinate content production between the business and external agencies or internal teams to ensure all parties are aligned and working efficiently.
    • Content Promotion Coordination: You will also be responsible for coordinating media and promotional efforts to ensure content reaches the right audience at the right time.

    Administration

    Effective administrative skills will be essential, as you will be involved in:

    • Campaign Calendar Management: Keeping track of all campaign activities, including updating the campaign calendar and ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Ad-Hoc Requirements: Managing any additional campaign or media requirements that may arise during the contract period.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

    • Education: A post-matric qualification such as a marketing diploma or digital marketing certificate is required.
    • Experience: A minimum of two years of brand or marketing experience is essential, with a specific focus on digital administration.
    • Retail Knowledge: A solid understanding of the retail environment and industry trends is an advantage.
    • Skills: The ideal candidate will possess excellent administration, planning, organization, and coordination skills. Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Office and Google Suite, is also necessary.
