This prestigious position comes with a competitive remuneration package ranging from R849,702.00 to R1,000,908.00 per annum.

    The total package includes a basic salary (70%) and a flexible portion (30%), which may be structured in accordance with the applicable regulations. Additionally, the state contributes 13% of the basic salary towards the Government Employees Pension Fund.

    Minimum Requirements

    The ideal candidate must possess:

    • A National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7).
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Junior Management or Assistant Director level.
    • Proven management competencies.
    • A broad knowledge and understanding of the functional areas covered by the executive authority’s portfolio.
    • Working knowledge of political and parliamentary processes in South Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    The appointed Administrative Support and Coordination Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Executive Authority. The main duties of the role include:

    Document and Information Management

    • Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, registers, and databases to monitor and manage the flow of documents to, from, and within the office.
    • Compiling correspondence, submissions, and cabinet memoranda as required.
    • Studying, editing, and providing comments on submissions to be presented to the executive authority.
    • Ensuring documents are classified in accordance with the Minimum Information Security (MIS) prescripts.

    Office Administration and Budget Management

    • Managing the procurement and maintenance of office equipment.
    • Administering the budget within the Office of the Executive Authority.
    • Ensuring logistical support is effectively coordinated.

    Stakeholder Liaison and Communication

    • Liaising with internal and external role players regarding matters related to the executive authority’s portfolio.
    • Coordinating the distribution of memoranda, documents, and submissions to the relevant legislature and standing/portfolio committees.

    Cabinet/Executive Council Support

    • Managing the distribution of memoranda to Cabinet/Executive Council members.
    • Keeping records of Cabinet/Executive Council decisions and ensuring that the Chief of Staff and Executive Authority are alerted regarding actions and due dates.

    Human Resources Management

    • Overseeing human resource functions within the office.
