    The Wits Health Consortium (WHC) is looking for proactive, energetic, and dedicated candidates to join their team. This internship is an ideal platform for recent graduates or those looking to pivot their careers into health systems management.

    Key Performance Areas

    As an intern, you will work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of project management. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Procurement Support: Assist in obtaining quotations in line with the WHC Procurement Policy.
    • Travel Arrangements: Prepare travel approval forms and other necessary travel documents as required.
    • Meeting Coordination: Take detailed and accurate minutes of meetings and distribute them within three working days.
    • Activity Tracking: Assist with updating and maintaining the Project Management Office’s meeting activity tracker.
    • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling and logistics for internal meetings, including booking meeting rooms, sending invitations, and preparing necessary materials.
    • Follow-Up on Activities: Ensure timely follow-up on various project activities.
    • Ad-Hoc Administration: Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed.

    Requirements

    The WHC is seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications and possess these personal attributes:

    Required Minimum Education and Training

    • Diploma in Health Systems Sciences or a related field.

    Desirable Additional Education, Work Experience, and Personal Abilities

    • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
    • Excellent command of the English language.
