The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for a Web Developer Vacancy at their National Office in Midrand. This position offers a salary ranging from R444 036 to R532 602 per annum (Level 09). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement and will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and managing the OCJ’s web platforms.

Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 and a three-year National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Web Development, Software Development, Multimedia, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 with 360 credits as recognized by SAQA.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in the ICT environment, focusing on developing and managing websites.
- Experience with ECM solutions, web usability principles, and database management.
- Familiarity with mobile technology and web-based languages (HTML, CSS, ASP.net, VB.net).
- Experience with Content Management Solutions such as SharePoint, Dot Net Nuke, Joomla, Drupal, and WordPress.
- Proficiency in web and graphic design software (Visual Studio, Adobe Suite, Adobe Acrobat).
- Certifications:
- Microsoft certifications in C++, SQL, JavaScript, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, or other similar certifications.
Skills and Competencies
- Solid programming knowledge and experience.
- Proficiency in UX and client-side technologies (HTML5, CSS, PHP, JQuery, JSON, and mobile frameworks).
- Knowledge of programming languages and technical terminology.
- Experience with Azure, CRM Dynamics, and web/mobile technologies.
- Ability to read and understand complex coding languages.
- Skills in developing and applying modifications to existing applications.
- Understanding of SEO processes.
- Strong knowledge of relational database systems and Object-Oriented Programming.

Key Responsibilities
- Website and Server Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain the organizational websites and servers.
- Update and manage the OCJ website and intranet.
- Maintain the quality, design, and style of the website in line with the style guide and policy.
- Ensure web servers and content are regularly backed up.
- Maintain the functionality, security, and efficiency of web infrastructure.
- Content Management and Support:
- Edit, review, and design website and intranet content.
- Provide technical assistance for web applications.
- Support all website features and solve technical problems.
- Train and support internal users on website content management.
- Security and Compliance:
- Maintain web platform security.
- Conduct annual audits of site membership and access.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data.
- Technical and User Support:
- Analyse user needs and technical requirements.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Provide training and regular feedback to website content personnel.
