    Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Assistant

    1. Safety, Health, and Environment

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Educational Background:
      A minimum of a Grade 12/N3 technical qualification is required. Preferably, candidates should have a certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (NQF4), which would provide an advantage.
    • Work Experience:
      A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant warehouse experience is essential. The candidate must have practical knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics management.
    • Licenses and Skills:
      Licenses for forklift, overhead crane, LDV, truck, and reach truck are advantageous. A South African driver’s license (Code B) is also required.
    • Technical Skills:
      The Warehouse Assistant must be computer literate, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply systematic approaches to investigating risks and opportunities are crucial.
