Qualifications and Experience Required
To be considered for the position, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Applicable Bachelor’s Degree
A relevant degree is essential for this role, ensuring candidates possess foundational knowledge in data analytics and statistical modelling. - Experience
Two to three years of experience in statistical analysis and modelling is required.
Applicants with the following additional qualifications and experience will have an advantage:
- Higher Education Experience
Familiarity with the higher education environment is highly desirable for this role. - Proficiency in Statistical Software and Microsoft Office
Advanced knowledge of statistical software and Microsoft Office applications is a significant asset. - Data Analytics Expertise
Demonstrated experience using various statistical modelling methods and online survey software such as Quest Back, SurveyMonkey, and Veasy’s will be advantageous.
Key Details of the Appointment
The successful candidate will be appointed on a two-year fixed-term support contract. The total cost to company for the position is R408 959 per annum. However, the salary scales for 2025 are subject to confirmation. CUT adheres to an internal parity model to ensure fair and equitable remuneration based on qualifications and experience.

The position is based at the Bloemfontein Campus under the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching. This centre focuses on enhancing learning and teaching through innovative methods, including the use of advanced data analytics and educational technologies.
