Traffic Officer Opportunities (5 Positions)

- Directorate: Public Safety and Security
- Sub-Directorate: Regional Operations (Traffic Services Division)
- Salary Grade: 012/009 to 012/027 (R235,452 – R386,232 per annum)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license
- Traffic Training Diploma (NQF level 4)
- 2–3 years relevant experience
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage traffic flow and respond to incidents.
- Direct and control traffic, handle traffic offences, and assist in policing actions.
- Conduct routine vehicle and driver inspections.
- Document and process traffic-related cases and offences.
- Maintain records and report on equipment functionality.
Additional Requirements:
- Attention to detail
- Conflict management skills
- Proficiency in at least two official languages
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, outside normal hours, and be on standby.
