    Key Responsibilities

    1. Academic Delivery (35%)

    • Implement a dynamic curriculum aligned with Crawford International’s educational pillars.
    • Foster a stimulating learning environment through innovative teaching practices and appropriate use of technology.
    • Provide personalized learning experiences, catering to the unique talents and developmental needs of each child.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance academic delivery and participate in professional development programs.

    2. Academic Assessment and Reporting (20%)

    • Continuously monitor and record students’ progress across academic, social, and emotional dimensions.
    • Use data-driven decision-making to inform personalized learning journeys.
    • Prepare comprehensive feedback and reports for parents, principals, and academic departments.

    3. Student Behaviour Management (15%)

    • Establish and maintain classroom rules and essential agreements to ensure a supportive learning environment.
    • Promote student well-being and provide guidance to address educational and social challenges.
    • Identify barriers to learning and collaborate with support teams to address individual student needs.

    4. School Brand Ambassadorship (10%)

    • Uphold the values and mission of Crawford International, serving as a role model in professionalism and work ethic.
    • Actively participate in school events, Open Days, and community engagements.
    • Contribute to newsletters, school magazines, and social media content as needed.

    5. Administrative Duties (10%)

    • Plan and manage excursions, maintain inventories, and ensure a dynamic learning space.
    • Participate in staff meetings and assist with the development and control of annual budgets.
    • Support school operations by assisting with timetabling and substitution requirements.

    6. Health and Safety (10%)

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during play and activities.
    • Conduct hazard assessments and report safety concerns to management.
    • Provide first-aid support when required, maintaining accurate incident records.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Qualifications:
      • Post-Matric Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) for Grades 0000-000.
      • Degree in ECD or B. Education (Foundation Phase).
      • PGCE for degrees deemed suitable for pre-primary teaching (e.g., Psychology).
      • Valid South African Council for Educators (SACE) certificate.
      • Police clearance.
    • Experience:
      • 2-5 years of teaching experience.
      • 1 year of teaching internship (subject to principal’s discretion).

    • Degree (NQF Level 6) in ECD or B. Education (Foundation Phase).
