    Purpose of the Role

    The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Internship is designed for recent graduates with a National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (NQF level 6).     Key Responsibilities

    During the internship, the Supply Chain Intern will work closely with GPF’s SCM team to support a range of supply chain and administrative activities. The intern’s key duties and responsibilities include:

    1. Supplier Sourcing and Price Quotations
      • Sourcing suppliers from the Central Supplier Database.
      • Compiling and evaluating price quotations to ensure competitive procurement.
    2. Market Research and Procurement Planning
      • Conducting market research on required products and services.
      • Assisting in drafting procurement plans and compiling quarterly reports.
    3. Tender Management and Bid Processes
      • Supporting the management of tenders, preparing documents, and participating in bid committee meetings.
    4. Inventory and Travel Coordination
      • Assisting with inventory management and monthly inventory reconciliations.
      • Coordinating travel arrangements and handling associated monthly reconciliations.
    5. Contract Management and Compliance Reporting
      • Aiding in contract management and analyzing expenditure trends.
      • Drafting compliance reports and contributing to Economic Development (ED) and BEE reporting.
    6. Collaboration and Mentorship
      • Participating in teamwork and brainstorming sessions.
      • Engaging in mentorship activities to gain in-depth knowledge and experience from seasoned SCM professionals.
    7. Other SCM-related Tasks
      • Completing additional tasks as requested by the CEO, CFO, or Line Manager.

    Minimum Requirements
