    Key Responsibilities

    As a Supply Chain Clerk, you will be responsible for various administrative and logistical tasks within the Supply Chain and Procurement department. Your duties will include:

    • Providing clerical support for demand and acquisition processes
    • Offering logistical support services
    • Assisting with asset management, including verification and maintaining the fixed asset register
    • Managing and maintaining college contracts, updating the contract register regularly
    • Supporting financial activities within the Supply Chain department
    • Scanning, filing, and uploading documents onto the system
    • Collecting budget inputs and consolidating financial data
    • Monitoring expenditure to ensure adherence to budget constraints

    Requirements and Qualifications

    To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    • A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
    • Experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement environment will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Supply Chain Management, and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
    • Strong analytical, report writing, and administrative skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
    • Reliability and determination to complete tasks efficiently
    • Computer literacy, specifically in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
