Key Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Clerk, you will be responsible for various administrative and logistical tasks within the Supply Chain and Procurement department. Your duties will include:
- Providing clerical support for demand and acquisition processes
- Offering logistical support services
- Assisting with asset management, including verification and maintaining the fixed asset register
- Managing and maintaining college contracts, updating the contract register regularly
- Supporting financial activities within the Supply Chain department
- Scanning, filing, and uploading documents onto the system
- Collecting budget inputs and consolidating financial data
- Monitoring expenditure to ensure adherence to budget constraints
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
- Experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement environment will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Supply Chain Management, and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
- Strong analytical, report writing, and administrative skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Reliability and determination to complete tasks efficiently
- Computer literacy, specifically in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
