    Roles and Responsibilities

    As a Stores Equipment Assistant, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining equipment for students across various programs. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all camera, audio, and lighting equipment is functional and in good condition for term projects and teaching sessions.
    • Equipment Distribution: Assist in distributing film gear, provide technical advice, and guide students on best practices.
    • Collaboration: Work alongside other campus counterparts to maintain parity in equipment standards across AFDA campuses.
    • Equipment Handovers: Assist in equipment handovers according to pre-planned schedules.
    • Support During Open Days: Attend AFDA Open Days to showcase and explain equipment usage to prospective students.
    • Student Assistance: Provide both administrative and practical support, addressing student queries and offering basic training on equipment.
    • Equipment Reservations: Assist with accurate booking of equipment through the Cheqroom asset management system.
    • Lost & Damaged Reports: Keep detailed records of lost or damaged equipment, ensuring a clear reporting system is in place.
    • Asset Management: Help with registering assets and maintaining equipment statistics.
    • Delivery & Handling: Assist with receiving equipment deliveries and managing them within CPT Stores.
    • Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with both operational and teaching staff to ensure smooth workflow and organization.
