Job Responsibilities
The Stock Controller will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Goods Receipt and Verification
- Accurately receive deliveries, verifying goods against invoices.
- Ensure delivered goods match the invoiced items in terms of quantity, condition, and variants.
- Invoicing and Documentation
- Capture invoices of received goods into the system accurately and promptly.
- Maintain thorough records of stock movements and invoices.
- Stock Management and Control
- Assist in managing and controlling high-risk inventory items.
- Monitor discrepancies in stock and report them to management.
- Return unordered or damaged goods to suppliers and process credit notes in line with company policy.
- Store Room Maintenance
- Ensure the storeroom remains orderly and meets organizational standards.
- Support in Other Duties
- Engage in other operational tasks as required by the business.
- Undertake labor-intensive tasks, such as lifting heavy boxes and offloading pallets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
Essential Experience
Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience in a retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment, preferably in a similar stock management role.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong background in retail/FMCG operations with a comprehensive understanding of stock management principles.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Office 365.
