Duties and Responsibilities
If selected, you will be responsible for supporting various procurement operations. These include:
1. Supplier Onboarding
- Assist in onboarding new suppliers following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that all documentation is collected and verified before finalizing the onboarding.
2. Supplier Creation
- Generate vendor codes accurately using the Accpac system.
- Notify the Accounts Payable (AP) team to create CDIs.
- Alert eProcurement users once vendor codes are active.
3. Document Collection
- Daily collection of valid BEE, Tax, and Letter of Good Standing (LOG) certificates.
- Submit these documents to the Procurement Assistant for database capturing and record-keeping.
4. Contract Register Management
- Update and maintain the contract register to ensure accurate, real-time information.
- Organize and file contracts securely for audits or future reference.
5. Ad Hoc Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative help to the procurement team.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, managing emails, and participating in team discussions.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- BCom in Supply Chain Management or
- CIPS Level 3 or 4 Diploma
- Experience: None required – perfect for graduates!
- Skills Needed:
- Strong communication and organization skills
