    Social Work Manager Job Purpose

    The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the Residential Care Centre delivers a comprehensive social welfare service. This involves promoting social change, solving problems in human relationships, and empowering individuals to enhance their social well-being.

    Minimum Requirements

    • An appropriate 4-year degree qualification in Social Work allowing professional registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
    • Compulsory registration with SACSSP as a Social Worker.
    • A minimum of 10 years of appropriate and recognizable experience in social work after registration as a Social Worker with SACSSP.
    • A valid driving license.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Provide Advanced Social Welfare Services: Offer specialized services in care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals, particularly through substance treatment programs.
    • Program Development and Planning: Facilitate the development and implementation of programs and interventions for substance treatment services.
    • Resource Management: Ensure efficient and effective utilization of financial and human resources.
    • Research and Development: Plan and undertake relevant research to enhance service delivery.

    • The cost-to-employer (CTE) packages are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations, such as basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, and pension-fund contributions.
