    Purpose of the Job

    The Software Developer role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, debugging, documenting, releasing, maintaining, and enhancing integrated software applications according to ICT standards and enterprise architecture for Government.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Software Design & Development: Create or customize software for client use to improve operational efficiency using SITA’s development stack/framework.
    • System Coordination: Oversee software system installations and monitor equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Specification & Coding: Produce detailed software specifications and write program codes.
    • Maintenance: Maintain and support integrated IT software components post-deployment.
    • Technical Specifications: Develop technical service specifications for software components to guide procurement or in-house development.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in ICT (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, or Engineering).
    • Experience: 3 to 5 years in ICT, focusing on systems development, implementation, and maintenance, especially with Moodle eLearning environments.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
      • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SDLC).
      • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, PHP) and database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
      • Experience with software testing techniques and tools.
