Selection Criteria
- Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need is a key consideration.

Application Requirements
- Full Academic Record: Upload comprehensive academic records for all study years.
- Fee Statement: Provide fee statements for all study years.
- Completion and Submission: Ensure the application form is fully completed and submitted correctly.
- Certified Documents: Upload certified copies of required documents.
- Supervisor Testimonial: SANSA or university testimonial forms completed by the supervisor must be uploaded.
Bursary Details
- Bursary Values: Currently under revision; updated values for 2025 will be communicated in due course.
- Honours: One year @ R100,000
- Masters: Two years @ R120,000
- Doctorate: Three years @ R140,000
- Reapplication: Masters and doctoral bursars must reapply annually for continued funding.
- Merit Awards: Applicants may hold only one merit award that does not exceed the specified bursary amounts.
- Top-Up Bursaries: May provide top-up bursaries to students with another bursary of a lesser amount, provided they meet criteria.
- Continued Support: Support for subsequent years depends on satisfactory progress in the previous year.
- Application Deadline: Submit completed applications no later than 30 September 2024 to be considered for the 2025 bursary.
