    SAMPRA Internship Opportunities Overview

    The SAMPRA Development Fund is offering two unique internship opportunities:

    • Copyright and Administration Internship
    • Creative and A&R (Artists and Repertoire) Internship

    • Internship Duration: 12 months
    • Stipend: R6 500.00 per month

    Key Exposure Areas

    Copyright and Administration Internship

    • Song Data Entry and Maintenance: The intern will be involved in entering and maintaining song data, a critical component of music publishing.
    • Company Events: Attendance at various company events, some of which may occur on Saturdays or evenings, providing a comprehensive view of the industry.
    • Administration and Commerce: Gaining hands-on experience in the administrative and commercial aspects of music publishing.

    Creative and A&R Internship

    • Marketing: Learn and participate in the promotion and branding strategies of artists and their music.
    • Public Relations: Develop your skills in managing public perception and media relations for artists and the company.
    • Artists & Repertoire Administration: Gain insight into the process of discovering, developing, and nurturing musical talent.

    Requirements

    To be considered for these SAMPRA Internship Opportunities, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    • Education (Copyright and Administration Internship): Completed qualification in Administration, Commerce, or related fields from an accredited institution.
    • Education (Creative and A&R Internship): Completed qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, or related fields from an accredited institution.
    • Work Experience: No prior work experience is required.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
    • Knowledge: Basic understanding of copyright, contractual law, and music publishing administration.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Proof of Qualification: Certified copies of transcripts and/or qualifications.
    • Location: Must reside close to or within driving distance of Rosebank.
    • Nationality: South African citizenship is required.
    • Passion: A genuine passion for music and a positive, energetic attitude.
