    Eligibility Requirements

    To apply, candidates must:

    • Be a Black South African or hold permanent residency in South Africa.
    • Show financial need.
    • Hold an LLB degree from a South African university.
    • Have achieved a minimum of 65% average in LLB studies.
    • Be registered for 1st or 2nd year of an LLM degree at a public South African university.
    • Be conducting coursework and research focused on constitutional, human rights, or justice-related law.

    Preference Will Be Given To:

    • Students from:
      • University of Venda
      • University of Fort Hare
      • University of Zululand
      • University of Limpopo
      • Walter Sisulu University
      • University of the Western Cape
    • Students with a strong academic record.
    • Students who are close to graduating.
