As a Professional Nurse at SAVF Dien Bothma, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being of elderly residents. Your responsibilities will include implementing nursing care policies, managing nursing services, and supervising staff to maintain the highest level of care. This role requires strong leadership, compassion, and commitment to healthcare compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As part of your duties at SAVF Dien Bothma, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing Nursing Care Policies – Ensuring compliance with best nursing practices and regulations.
- Supervising Nursing Staff – Overseeing the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Applying Nursing Care Plans – Managing patient-specific care plans for optimal health outcomes.
- Performing General Nursing Tasks – Providing hands-on care, monitoring patient health, and ensuring comfort.
- Training Nursing Staff – Conducting on-the-job training to maintain and improve nursing skills within the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 qualification
- Certification: Nursing diploma or degree with registration at SANC (South African Nursing Council)
- Security Clearance: SAPS clearance certificate
- Indemnity Cover: Required for professional practice
- Knowledge of Elderly Care: Experience in geriatric nursing is an advantage
- Familiarity with Nursing Policies and Procedures
- Experience in:
- Interpretation and application of nursing policies
- Management of nursing services
- Implementation of Nursing Care Plans
- Additional Advantage: Experience in nursing administration
