    Key Responsibilities

    • Photography Production: Create high-quality photographs for publication in Council materials such as eZasegagasini Metro, MetroBeat, and the Council website.
    • Collaborative Support: Provide photography and related services across all units within the eThekwini Municipality, working closely with Communications Executives, Officers, and the Manager of Communications.
    • Website Content Management: Assist in processing picture content for the ETM website and other Council media.
    • Report Development: Contribute to the preparation of various reports, including annual reports, ensuring all visual elements are compelling and relevant.
    • Leadership Support: Deliver photographic services to both political and administrative leadership within the ETM.
    • Meeting Participation: Attend meetings and activities as required, stepping in for the Manager of News Editing when necessary.
    • Additional Assignments: Undertake related tasks as directed by the Manager of News Editing.

    Essential Requirements

    • Education: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent, alongside a Photography certificate or a related qualification.
    • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in photography.
    • Driving License: A valid motor vehicle driving license is required.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer usage for editing and managing photographic content.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Higher Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Photography or related fields.
    • Extended Experience: 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
