  • Administer Leave of Absence: Ensure accurate and timely processing of leave applications.

  • Administer Termination of Service: Handle the termination process efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
  • Safe Keep HR Records: Maintain and safeguard employee records.
  • Conduct Physical Verification of Employees: Perform regular verification to ensure the accuracy of employee data.

Requirements

To be considered for this Personnel Officer role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background:
    • Grade 12 certificate
    • A three-year qualification in Human Resource Management (NQF level 6)
    • Certificate in introduction to PERSAL system (advantageous)
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of Compensation Fund objectives, business functions, and value chain.
    • Familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, including COIDA Act, Public Service Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS), PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in technical HR processes.
    • Strong business writing and IT skills.
    • Competency in data capturing and records management.
    • Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
