    Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

    To be eligible for the Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a South African citizen
    • Reside in Gauteng Province
    • Be between the ages of 18 – 35 years
    • Be an unemployed graduate who has NOT participated in any government internship programme before
    • Have completed studies in one of the following fields:
      • Public Administration
      • Public Management & Governance
      • Human Sciences
      • Information Science
      • Monitoring & Evaluation
      • Public Policy
      • Development Studies
      • Political Sciences
      • Research
      • Statistics
      • Administration

    Students who have completed their academic theory and need workplace experience to achieve their qualifications are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must have studied at a recognized South African institution of higher learning.

    Internship Responsibilities (Duties)

    The Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Internship provides an opportunity to engage in government service delivery and performance assessment. As an intern, you will be required to:
