Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this part-time external invigilator job at Thekwini TVET College, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Matric certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- A recognized tertiary education qualification (REQV 13).
- Must have sat for a higher education examination in the last five years OR be:
- A former or unemployed public sector educator/lecturer, OR
- A respected community member with relevant experience and references.
- Must not be registered in any higher education institution for the 2025 academic year.
- Must not have any history of examination irregularities or dishonesty.
- Teaching and invigilation experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time External Invigilator, your duties will include:
- Ensuring compliance with all DHET/College/Campus Examination rules and regulations.
- Conducting examination-related administrative duties, including:
- Completing absentee forms.
- Marking candidates’ attendance registers at the entrance and exit of the examination room.
- Providing examination support to the Examination Officer, Chief/Deputy Chief Invigilators, and candidates.
- Upholding the integrity of the examination process and ensuring high standards.
- Attending a compulsory Examination Training Workshop before the start of invigilation duties.
- Following all instructions given by the Chief/Deputy Invigilator in charge of the examination venue.
- Being present at least 1.5 hours before the start of the examination session.
- Invigilating for the full duration of the examination session.
