    Provincial Internship Opportunities

    In addition to the opportunities at the NLC’s Head Office in Pretoria, the NLC is offering internships across multiple provinces in South Africa, providing opportunities for individuals who prefer to work closer to home. These internships cover a range of fields, including public administration, project management, and management assistance.

    Provincial Offices:

    • KwaZulu-Natal: Interns with qualifications in project management, public administration, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) are sought.
    • Limpopo, North-West, Eastern Cape, and Mpumalanga: Opportunities for those with qualifications in administration, business management, and customer service.
    • Western Cape, Free State, Northern Cape, Gauteng: Positions available for individuals with expertise in a variety of administrative and project management functions.

    CHIETA Smart Skills Centres

    Another exciting opportunity offered by the NLC is the chance to work at the CHIETA Smart Skills Centres, which are located in various provinces across South Africa. These centres focus on providing essential skills and training to individuals in business management, administration, customer service, and accounting. Graduates with relevant qualifications in these areas can apply to join the team at the CHIETA centres to enhance their professional skills.

    Internship Requirements

    To qualify for the NLC Graduate and Student Interns Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
    • Have completed an N6 National Certificate.
    • Be an unemployed student requiring experiential training for 18 months.
    • Have never participated in an internship program before.
    • Be a South African citizen.

    • A concise Curriculum Vitae (CV).
    • Certified copies of the applicant’s ID document, senior certificate (Grade 12), and post-matric qualifications (including academic transcripts).
