    Fields Covered by the Bursary

    The Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Bursary Programme is designed to support undergraduate and postgraduate students residing in KwaZulu-Natal. The bursary is open to those pursuing qualifications in the Built Environment and Construction industries. This includes certificates, diplomas, degrees, or other related qualifications that align with the industry’s needs and have been approved by the Bursary Committee.

    Selection and Renewal Process

    Bursaries will be awarded based on three main criteria:

    1. Financial need: The programme prioritizes applicants who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
    2. Academic ability: A strong academic record is essential for consideration.
    3. Relevant career choice: The chosen field of study must align with the skills in demand within the building and construction sector.

    Bursaries are granted for one academic year and may be renewed annually, provided recipients show satisfactory academic progress.

    Notification of Selection

    Successful applicants will be notified by 28 February 2025. If no feedback is received by this date, applicants should consider their application unsuccessful.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a South African citizen.
    • Reside within the KwaZulu-Natal province.
    • Be in Matric or have completed Matric.
    • Be studying or intending to study full-time in a Built Environment qualification.
    • Be registered or accepted at a recognized South African tertiary institution.
    • Demonstrate academic excellence.
    • Show proven financial need.
