Responsibilities
Your duties as a Junior Payroll Accountant will include, but are not limited to:
- Reconcile Payroll Accounts: Assist in reconciling payroll accounts with the general ledger, ensuring all payroll-related transactions are accurately recorded.
- Payroll Processing: Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing, including the calculation of wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
- Audit Support: Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll accounting documentation and explanations.
- Employee Inquiries: Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information regarding payroll accounting matters.
Requirements
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following:
- Educational Background: BCom Degree in Finance or currently working towards one.
- Work Experience: 1-2 years of previous experience in payroll accounting, finance, or general accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software. Experience with payroll systems, such as Sage 300, is advantageous.
